  • Poetry Reading at Pomegranate Books: Five local poets are coming together to share some of their favorite works with the community! Come prepared to be uplifted, enlightened, and amused at 7pm to celebrate National Poetry Month with Pomegranate Books.

  • Grand Opening of G. Marie Jewelers at Bazar: Frost yourself in honor of G. Marie Jewelers grand opening! Pieces will be up to 40% off from 3-7pm along with the opportunity to enter a jewelry giveaway and enjoy some light bites and wine! This is one party you won’t want to miss.

  • World Ballet Company: The Great Gatsby at UNCW Kenan Auditorium: Need a reason to break out your favorite flapper garb this weekend? Look no further! The World Ballet Company will be performing its adaptation of The Great Gatsby at UNCW Kenan Auditorium. Welcome for anyone age +8.

  • Greater Cape Fear Book Crawl at The Roasted Bookery: Find your next favorite beach read with the Greater Cape Fear Book Crawl! 9 local bookstores will come together to celebrate their shared love of stories and are offering the chance to win prizes if you get your bookmark signed by participating stores!

  • Live Emo Night at Reggies 42nd Street Tavern: Break out your black eyeliner, folks! We are taking it all the way back to 2005 for Live Emo Night with 100% live performances. Early bird pricing starts at $14 and the doors will open at 7pm.

  • Canes Playoff Watch Party at Tap Yard: Break out your red and black to watch the Hurricanes compete in the Stanley Cup Playoffs! Friends, family, and furry sidekicks are all welcome to watch the Canes starting at 8pm at Tap Yard. Don’t be late!

  • Spring Fling Maker’s Market at Castle Street: Find something new and locally made to add to your collection this weekend at the Spring Fling Maker’s Market! Peruse local art, jewelry, candles, and more downtown at Castle Street from 10am-2pm for FREE! This event will take place rain or shine.

  • Grand Opening at Burning Pages Bookstore: Celebrate the glow-up of Burning Pages Bookstore with a weekend full of festivities! The lineup includes author signings, new titles, lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and more. See more details here and stop by from 10am-6pm!

  • 2025 Wilmington Earth Day Festival at Long Leaf Park: The Wilmington Earth Day Alliance is using YOUR power for OUR planet at this year’s Earth Day Festival! Explore more than 50 exhibitors and vendors, live music, food trucks, drinks, and more! Swing by from 12pm-6pm.

  • Meet Up at Wrightsville Beach SUP: Dust off your paddle and get ready to hit the water for this casual paddle-boarding meet-up with Wrightsville Beach SUP! All skill levels are welcome and rentals are available if needed. Head over to 96 W Salisbury St at 9am to participate!

  • Mother’s Day Market Under the Bridge at Waterline Brewing Company: Find the perfect gift for the special mom in your life — or just yourself! — with the Mother’s Day Market! This event will be bustling from start to finish with local vendors, food trucks, craft beverages, face painting, permanent jewelry, and more. Stop by from 12-4pm.

  • The Groove Market at Riverlights: Get groovy in Riverlights this weekend! Shop more than 30 local businesses and get to know Riverlights by stopping for a bite to eat, grabbing a cup of coffee, or just mingling with the live music with your furry friends! Festivities will last from 12-3pm.

  • Make Wilmington Weird Festival at Hi-Wire Brewing Company: Lean into your weird side at the Make Wilmington Weird Festival! Celebrate what makes you YOU by participating in a vast array of eclectic activities with City Gypsy Boutique. Want to know more? See you there! Stop by from 12-6pm.

  • Cargo District Spring Fest at EOD Distillery: Beckon in the best of spring with yoga on the patio, a cocktail flight, and new goodies from local businesses! It’s all happening in the Cargo District from 10am-6pm.

  • Wilmington’s Spring Fest Under the Oaks at The Bend: Craft beer and cocktails, good eats, live jams… The Bend will have it all from 1-4pm! Stop by for the Wilmington Spring Fest Under the Oaks!

  • Family Fun Day at The Bellamy Mansion Museum: Pack up the kids! The Bellamy Mansion Museum is offering a Family Fun Day for a FREE day of pony rides, a petting zoo, arts and crafts, games, and more! Drop by from 12-4pm.

  • Food Truck Rodeo at Ogden Park: It’s that time again! Swing by the Food Truck Rodeo at Ogden Park for a taste of Wilmington! Food will be available from 12-5pm.

  • Spring Fest at The Rift: What is your weekend missing? Yoga, lunch plans, live music, or local nonprofits? Look no further — The Rift’s Spring Fest has you covered! Come by for a little bit of everything anytime from 9:30am-9pm.

New Sheetz location opening on Carolina Beach Road: The third location of Sheetz is coming to Carolina Beach Road this summer! The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 10:45am on May 1, and other festivities will take place throughout the day.

‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ new season to premiere this July: Mark your calendar for July 16th! The final season of the locally-filmed show ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ will be premiering on Amazon Prime. Tune in to catch some local sights and a new take on a familiar storyline!
