FEATURED RESTAURANT OF THE WEEK 🐦‍⬛🪦
Poe’s Tavern - Mouth Watering Morsels for Literature Lovers

Calling all lovers of literature (and amazing burgers)! Serving classic American dishes, Poe’s Tavern is located in only four cities, all on the East Coast. One of them is our very own Wrightsville beach!

Walk across a marbled “Golden Bug” as you enter the main dining room, full of movie posters, newspaper snippets, and other Poe related memorabilia. If you stop by the bathrooms you’ll find the walls plastered with pages from Edgar-Allan Poe’s many works, as well as his stories playing over the speakers. With the nice fall weather rolling in, outdoor dining will feel particularly cozy. Or if you’re looking to “fill with mingled cream and amber,” grab a seat at the bar!

Wilmy Weekly Tip: Our favorite menu item is the “Amontillado.” Served with your choice of burger, chicken sandwich, or veggie burger, topped with guacamole, jalapeño jack cheese, pico de gallo, and chipotle sour cream this sandwich tastes better than a cask of revenge!
