A Christmas Carol at The Kenan Auditorium: With shows both Friday and Saturday, GAFA studios presents a beautifully coordinated presentation of A Christmas Carol, perfect for a family outing this Holiday Season. See online for further details and tickets.
Holiday Sip and Shop at One Stop Mood Shop: Sip on some wine, apple cider, or sparkling water, and browse Christmas goodies at your own pace. Need an escape from all the craziness? Meet us there from 5pm to 7pm.
Tallis Chamber Baroque Orchestra: Hosted at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 7:30pm, this event benefits the Good Shepherd Center. Give back to the community, and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Tee the Season Ugly Sweater Bash: Head over to Good Lie at 7pm in your best (and by best we mean worst? Christmas sweater for drink specials, prizes, and more!
Elf Interactive Screening at The Eagles Dare: Doors open at 6:30pm with the movie starting at 7pm (tickets $10 for adults). The film will be accompanied by Pineapple-Shaped Lamps acting out scenes from the film and leading the crowd in sing-alongs perfect for the whole family!

A Night In Bethlehem by Hampstead United Methodist Church: Head over to the front lawn and grounds for an immersive look at what the streets of Bethlehem were like when Jesus was born! Event runs from 5:30pm to 8pm.
Free Flea and Artisan Market: Cactus Jack’s Sale Barn’s outdoor flea market featuring live music, yard sale and vintage items, homemade food, and organic produce from 8am to 5pm.

Santa Con Wrightsville Beach Crawl: Starting at the Oceanic at 4:30pm bring a children’s bike to donate, your most festive holiday attire, an ID (required for some stops), and all the Christmas spirit you can muster! The crawl ends all the way at the Palm Room.
Holiday Pop-Up Market: Head over to Island Beverage Craft Beer and Wine in Carolina Beach to snag those last-minute Christmas gifts from your favorite local artisans (featuring paintings, artwork, jewelry, plants, and other stocking stuffers)! From 12pm to 2pm.

Free Comedy Special at Wilmington Distillery: Featuring multiple local and guest comedians, enjoy a free show starting at 3pm! Swing by for your favorite drink specials (and free samples)!
Kids Paint Your Own Nutcracker Class: Need something to do with the whole family? Sign up and bring your kids ages 5 and up to Just for Kicks Dance Studio for an afternoon of crafts and laughter! The event runs from 1pm to 3pm.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at Commodore Public House and Kitchen: Drink specials and Ugly Christmas Sweater competition start at 4pm! Start planning your outfit now for a chance to win prizes and giveaways!

🎨 Artists Wanted for Community Art Piece to Honor Michael Jordan: New Hanover County is currently inviting artists to submit proposals for a sculpture honoring basketball legend Michael Jordan, who was raised and went to High School in Wilmington. This sculpture is set to be housed in the Project Grace outdoor Plaza. This initiative aims not only to celebrate Jordan’s legacy and inspire the community through public art, but also to be a symbol of strong family values.
🎬 A New Comedy Film (From OBX Creator Jonas Pate) Comes To Wilmington: “Drivers Ed” A Young-Adult Comedy Film is set to begin filming in Wilmington this February! The creator of the popular Netflix series Outer Banks, along with his wife have started a brand new production company that will continue to make Young Adult content, focusing on the talent in and around Wilmington NC. “Drivers Ed” will be their first film under this new company and is expected to boost the local economy as new talent is sourced in the area.
🚧 Long-Awaited Wilmington Overpass Project Set to Begin Construction: After years of anticipation, construction is slated to commence on the overpass designed to enhance traffic flow and safety at the intersection of Eastwood Road and Military Cutoff Road. This project aims to alleviate congestion and streamline traffic. Local officials have expressed optimism about this plan, and expect construction to begin in the coming months (including efforts to minimize any disruptions to traffic during the build).
