City of Wilmington Tree Lighting at Riverfront Park: Bring the kids to meet Santa, enjoy the Roland-Grise Middle School KNIGHT Singers performance, reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and Tree Lighting!
Thursday Trivia at Carolina Ale House: Featuring $5 Bulleit Bourbon and soda and $3 Coors or Miller Lite Pints. Head over to the Carolina Ale House starting at 6:30pm for trivia, raffles, and prizes.
Family Feud at By The Beach Brewing: Laughs, brews, trivia, and prizes starting at 7pm!
Painted Glass Ornament Class: Starting at 6:30pm at Lavender Rain Emporium for $35 dollars a person. Instruction and supplies for three ornaments will be provided. If you’re missing creative outlet this Holiday Season, swing by! You can get your tickets online now!
Celtic Angels Christmas at Thalian Hall: Celebrate “Christmas in Ireland” with magical Christmas vocals and enchanting dancing starting at 7:30pm with ticks starting at $50!
Friday, December 6th
Town of Carolina Beach Christmas Parade: Starting at 7pm, beginning at Atlanta Ave near the Carolina Beach Lake, ending at the Publix Intersection, featuring floats, antique cars, fire departments, marching bands, dancers, and much more!
Caroling by “Reindeer” Drawn Carriage in Downtown Wilmington: Christmas Spirit will be brewing on Market and Water Streets at various times this Holiday season (starting this Friday)! Event times run from 6pm to 9pm with low admission fees and free candy canes! Enjoy Christmas lights, meet Santa, and sing some carols!
Holiday Market at the Brooklyn Arts Center: Weekend long fun and shopping starting Friday! Shopping for handmade goods is aided by beverages, light bites, and over 50 vendors! See online for various event times and admission fees!
The Grinch Movie at Wrightsville Beach Parks and Recreation: Bring your beach chairs and blankets for a cozy movie night starting at 6pm. Free with concessions available for purchase!
The Nutcracker for Young Audiences at Thalian Hall: Looking for some classic Christmas festivities? The NY Ballet for Young Audiences Presents the Nutcracker at 4pm and 7pm (with doors opening earlier) tickets begin at $35.
Saturday, December 7th
Belleville Annual Christmas Festival: From 10am to 9pm at the Belleville Riverwalk Park! Come by for a Craft Fair/Market (10am to 3pm), explore Santa’s Christmas Village (4pm to 9pm), and enjoy some festive family time!
Town of Leland Holiday Art Market: 35 vendors specializing in handmade ceramics, paintings, wreaths, woodwork, fiber arts, and anything else you can imagine! Swing by the Leland Cultural Arts Center from 10am to 3pm!
Holiday Crafts and Crystals Faire: Hosted at Elks Lodge by Saltwater and Sage Crystal Company, browse over 60 vendors for the perfect handmade Christmas gifts! From 10am to 4pm, admission $3.
Swing Dancing with the John Ryerson Jazz Quartet: 6:30pm at the Hannah Block in the Community Arts Center. $15 entry fee for a beginner swing dancing lesson, followed by three hours of live music and dancing starting at 7:30!
Santa on the Farm Market: Head over to Oak and Fennel Farms from 10am to 2pm for 40+ vendors, Santa (10:30 to 12:30), bubble house, kids craft, farm animals, and food and drink trucks! Admission is $5 per person.
Island of Lights Christmas Flotilla: Starting at 6pm from Snows Cut Inlet to the Carolina Beach basin (and back). Text voting will be available for a people’s choice award!

City of Wilmington Holiday Parade: Running from 6pm to 8:30pm, on North Front Street, between Walnut and Church Street. Free for spectators.
Holiday Market Under the Oaks at The Bend: Good eats, craft beers and cocktails, live music, shopping from small and local businesses from 12pm to 4pm!
Holiday Arts Market with Santa at Jack Mackerel’s Island Grill: From 1pm to 6pm (Santa from 2pm to 5pm) browse Kure Beach’s finest handmade Christmas goodies, perfect for an end of weekend treat, or a special outing with your family!
Christmas Palm Tree Lighting: Head over to the Carolina Beach Pier from 5pm to 7pm to explore the warmly decorated Pier and Pier House, Food and Drink Trucks on site!
An 18th Century Christmas at St. Philips Anglican Church: Costumed interpreters give guided tours of what is was like for American colonists to celebrate Christmas. Enjoy traditional games, light refreshments, and crafts. The event runs from 1pm to 5:30pm with a special performance at 5pm. Grab tickets online!

The Holiday season is here, and Wilmington wants to celebrate with you!
🚢 Brilliant Battleship Holiday Lights: Battleship North Carolina is decked out and runs on a repeating light show! The best view is from the Wilmington Riverwalk from 5:30pm to 9pm. In remembrance of Pearl Harbor, there will be a special Patriotic Light Show running on December 7th (this Saturday). The Battleship itself is closed during this event!
🌇 Holiday Riverwalk Lights Cruise: Hop on a cozy cruise (hosted by Cape Fear River Boats) from 6pm to 7pm (open on the weekends), featuring holiday drinks and sparkling lights, perfect for a relaxing evening! Register online!
🎄Cape Fear Festival of Trees: Head over to the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher for their annual display of Christmas trees! Sponsored by local businesses, organizations, and individuals, this community event is the perfect Christmas activity to do with little ones, or that special someone!
