• Galentines Event at Leland Brewing Company: Permanent jewelry, hat & earring bar, and festive crafts for the gals! The event runs from 3pm to 6pm with $20 pitchers available for your Table all day!

• Chocolate and Cocktail Pairing at EOD Distillery: Laura Frank of Dipped Chocolates will be showcasing rich chocolates paired with End of Days Distillery’s craft cocktails! Grab your ticket (which includes tons of goodies) online now! The perfect way to spend Galentines!

• Galentines Day Double Header at Periwink: Running from 8:30am to 9pm, sip on specialty lattes or a mocktail and enjoy some time with fellow Wilmington Ladies! Reservation is required, so make sure to grab your seat before they fill up!

• Galentines Sip and Paint at Elevate Coworking: From 6pm to 9pm featuring good vibes and inner artist! Bring your girlfriends for an evening of guided floral bouquet painting with light bites available!

• Friends and Lovers Cargo District Block Party: From 6pm to 9pm the Cargo District will be alive with after-hours shopping, live vinyl spins, build-your-own bouquets, friendship bracelets, hair extensions, permanent jewelry, drinks and bites, glow stick status game, and more!

• Valentine’s Social and Meetup at Eagles Dare: Games and mingling at The Eagles Dare from 7pm to 10pm. Grab a drink, bring your friends, and maybe meet your special someone!

• Seaglass February Market: A vendor based, monthly market where you can find tons of local art, crafts and goods for purchase! If shopping with some friends is the perfect kickoff to your weekend, head on over to Seaglass!

• Candle Pouring Workshop at The Coastal Succulent + Design: A romantic-filled evening (from 5pm to 8pm) to create your own custom candles including warm scents such as strawberry, black cherry, and chocolate! Make sure to reserve your seat ahead of time!

• Riverdance at the Wilson Center: Riverdance comes to Wilmington, and celebrates their 30th anniversary! Enjoy the traditional and famous precision tap dancing with multiple shows this weekend (opening night Saturday)!

• Pawlentines Adoption Event at Flying Machine Brewing Company: Long Road Home NC will be at Flying Machine Brewery with several Dogs available to adopt! If you’re interested in providing a forever home or are just looking to show these dogs some love, swing by!

• Cupcakes and Corks at Wine Knot Sky Bar: Only a few tickets are left for a 21+ tasting event! Two times are available when purchasing tickets for this perfect ending to your weekend.

• Two Eagles Oyster Roast with Circle Pit BBQ: Wear your flannel from 1pm to 4pm at Eagle’s Dare! $35 Gets you all you-can-eat if you purchase your tickets ahead of time ($45 at the door).

🛒 Publix Signs Lease for Brand New Leland Location: Publix comes to Leland! The new location will be a part of the “Shoppes at Savannah Branch’ and will be built along with three other unannounced shops! Not only will this bring more shopping options to Leland, but will also provide an estimated 140 new jobs! No date has been set for release, but we anticipate this exciting new project for our area.

🐡 Aquarium Launches Yoga and Sip and Paint Programs: Starting on February 13, the Fort Fisher Aquarium will be hosting a Sip and Paint (with supplies and canvas provided) for an incredible relaxing opportunity to watch and paint marine life! This event will be every Thursday until September 25th. Every third Wednesday of the Month the Aquarium will be hosting Yoga! Another great opportunity for lovers of sea life! Both events have limited space and require preregistration.

🇮🇹 Local Restaurant Named One of the Best in the US: After only having open doors for around a year, Wilmington Local restaurant Olivero has been named one of the top 44 places to eat in America by USA Today’s Restaurants of the Year. Olivero is a Mediterranean inspired restaurant named after the owners great grandfather. Check out their menu online!

🚧 New Hanover Road Closure for Improvements: Sudbury Road near Old Dairy Farm Road will be experiencing road closures from February 10th through 28th due to pipe replacements, improving the water flow of the area.

The 15th annual Wilmington Marathon will host a record-breaking 5,000 athletes: On Saturday, Feb. 22, the marathon will start in Wrightsville Beach at Johnnie Mercers Pier on Saturday morning. The race will feature, courses for a full marathon, half-marathon, and relay courses, with all races will finsihing at Live Oak Bank Pavilion.
