Thursday, February 20

  • Karaoke at Rally Point: Every Thursday at Rally Point Barcade, warm up your vocal cords and bring your friends for support. Thursday also features $2 Rally Bombs, $4 Rum and Coke, and $4 Vodka Sprite. From 5pm to 12am.

  • Artist Talk and Open Reception at UNCW: ‘Bloom for Yesterday’ by Rachel Gloria Adam is a collection of 10 quilts opening tonight! Gallery hours are 10am to 4pm with an artist talk at 5pm, followed by a reception from 5:30pm to 7pm.

  • Chris Janson Concert at The Wilson Center: Looking for some country music and a good show to kick off your weekend? Grab your tickets now before they sellout! The show starts at 7:30pm with doors opening earlier.

  • Live Music at The Wilmington Distillery: Live music and drinks with your friends is the perfect kickoff to your weekend! Jesse Stockton will be playing from 8pm to 11pm, and there will be drink specials!

Friday, February 21

  • National Geographic Live Presents Diving the Great Barrier Reef: If you’re interested in sea life, or learning new facts about our wonderful world, head over to the Kenan Auditorium for a Marine biologist-led event! Tickets are available online!

  • Wilmington Marathon Shake Out Run in Bijou Park: 9am bright and early next to Drift Cafe! If you love running and are looking to shake away pre-race jitters before the Wilmington Marathon on Saturday, this event is for you! Try out Hoka’s updated shoe and give them a test run on a 2-3 mile route!

  • UNCW Baseball Game vs UNCA: Starting at 3:00 PM, watch the UNCW baseball team take on the UNC Asheville at Brooks Field! Adult tickets start at $10, and youth tickets start at $8.

Saturday, February 22

  • Wilmington, NC Marathon: Wilmington’s annual marathons will kick off at 7 am on Saturday at the Johnnie Mercer Pier on Wrightsville, and conclude at the Live Oak Pavillion downtown. There are still a few spots open to sign up for the full marathon, or jump on the waitlist for the half!

  • Maroon Monkey App Launch Party: Celebrate coffee, local small business, new merch, and more! The first 20 customers who order through the app will receive a free pastry starting at 10am!

  • Wilmington Adoption Event at Unleashed: Looking for a new member to add to your family? Unleashed of Wilmington hosts an It Takes a Village to Adopt event from 11am to 2pm. Swing by, even if it’s just to show some love!

  • Crafts and Crystals February Faire at Elks Lodge: From 10am to 4pm featuring your favorite local artists and craft vendors. If you’re looking for anything handmade, or in the crystal realm, this is for you!

  • Wilmington Record Show at Waterline Brewing: From 11am to 4pm all your vinyl and collectors cravings are satisfied! Free to come, with food and drink also available for purchase!

  • Speed Meet at Hi-Wire Brewing: Want to make new friends (or maybe that special someone)? Head over to Hi-Wire for a donation-encouraged mix and mingle event from 6pm to 8pm!

  • Don the Beachcomber’s Tiki Birthday Party: Music, food, and cocktail menu at Commodore Public House & Kitchen! Wear your best Hawaiian attire for a celebration of Don “Godfather of Tiki” from 1pm to 10pm.

  • Disney Silent Disco at The Eagles Dare: Sing and dance along to your favorite Disney Jams starting at 7pm (for ages 18+). Limited space and headphones are available so be sure to get tickets online!

🎨 Downtown Mural Supporting Cancer Diagnosis Raises Awareness: An Inspiring project started during the pandemic in 2020, and a personal attachment for artist Bobby Reville. Now, “The Giving Wall” is home to the second of three artworks planned for the PieSlayer Building on 2nd St. “I Believe in a Cure” holds a message of hope for both cancer survivors and non-survivors and is dedicated to Reville’s Daughter.

🎵 Brooklyn Arts Center to Host Music Festival This Summer: It’s never too soon to start your summer plans, especially when tickets go on sale on February 28th! So far, Railroad Earth, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country have been announced. The festival will also include a tribute to Wilmington’s Film Industry, Food, Drinks, and tons of Vendors! July 12th won’t come soon enough!

🏡 Dawson’s Creek House Hits Online Auction: The iconic Wilmington home from Dawson’s Creek will be sold via online auction, offering fans a chance to own the Capeside residence of Dawson Leery. The property became a cultural touchstone during the show’s 1990s run. Bidding starts at $25,000 and will begin on Friday, Feb.21, and end on Saturday, March 21 at 5:00 pm.
