Family Feud Game Night at Waterline Brewing: Starting at 7pm with food from Platypus & Gnome Pizza starting at 6! Bring your friends for a special edition of bar trivia, Waterline Brewing’s first edition of Family Feud!
Sealevel Stringband Old Time Music Session at Fermental: Looking for a relaxing evening of live music and sips to kick off your weekend? Head over to Fermental for a live music session starting at 7pm!
Vendor Networking Event at Beau Ridge Golf: From 6:30pm to 8pm the perfect networking and mingle event for anyone working in the wedding and event industry! Hosted by Engaged Wilmington.
No Sew Quilt Art Class: For $35 dollars per person, head over to Lavender Rain Emporium from 6:30pm to 8:30pm for a guided class with unique quilt designs perfect for anyone from beginners to seasoned professionals!
The Roasted Bookery Book Club: Bring your copy of The Inheritance of Orquidea Divina by Zoraida Cordova from 5:30pm to 7pm for some chill discussion and drinks and snacks! This event is free, but preregistration is required!
Valentine’s Day Market at Shuckin Shack: From 4pm to 8pm featuring local small businesses, artists, and crafters! This is the perfect opportunity to grab some friends and get a head start on Valentine’s Day shopping!
Friday, January 31st
Aaron Berg at the Dead Crow Comedy Room: Seen on Kill Tony, Legion of Shanks, Fox News, and SNL, Aaron Berg brings his comedy show to Wilmington at 7pm and 9:30pm (doors opening earlier and some shows available Saturday night).
Comedy on Castle at the Hide-A-Way Lounge: Featuring some of North Carolina's funniest comedians bringing their A-game to the stage. Show starts at 8 PM and tickets are $10.
New Boundaries Art Exhibit at Acme Art Studios: From 6pm to 9pm celebrate local indie art at Acme Art Studios (Wilmington’s collection of working studios and in-house gallery). The Gallery is only open by appointment, so take advantage of this open house!
Hot Tuna in Concert at the Kenan Auditorium: GRAMMY winners Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casado bring you an evening of Rock and Roll and fresh energy starting at 8pm (doors open earlier). Tickets start at $56 dollars.
”O Pioneer” Screening at Jengo’s Playhouse: For only $10 per ticket enjoy a documentary about three West Virginians and their championship of pioneer life. Find more information and get your tickets online!
Saturday, February 1st
Coffee Crawl in the Brooklyn Arts District: Calling all coffee lovers! From 12pm to 5pm stroll the Brooklyn Arts District and grab some sips from tons of different spaces, breweries, restaurants, bottle shops, and art galleries! Whether you’re interested in the coffee, cocktails, mocktails, pizza, or other vendors, we’ll see you there!
Ladies Tea and Testimony: Looking for some socializing with other ladies? Want to hear stories of encouragement? Bring a bite to share and head over to New Hanover Church from 2pm to 4pm for snacks and tea!
Free Seed Starting Workshop: From 1pm to 2pm at the New Hanover County Arboretum. Looking to get some experience to implement in your garden? Join this hands-on workshop and get your own seed starting tray and soil mix, as well as a selection of seeds! This event is free, but preregistration is required!
Dog Adoption at Unleashed: From 11:30am to 2:30pm hosted by Long Road Home Dog Rescue at Unleashed at Landfall. If you know you’re interested in adopting, you can apply for approval in advance online!
The Cozy Bookwyrm Grand Opening: Welcome a new cozy art studio and storefront to the South Front District (an extension of Bookworm Pottery & Co)! The celebration will be at the shared lobby of Yoga Salt and Cafe Mata from 11am to 4pm.
All you can eat Oysters at Seaview Crab Company ILM: Enjoy delicious wild North Carolina oysters and support local oyster harvesters! $35 per person, tickets sold at the door.
Valentine’s Pop-Up Market in Carolina Beach Pleasure Island: From 5pm to 8pm at Sea Creatures Supplies & Rare Goods, featuring small local businesses. This is the perfect opportunity for Valentine’s Day shopping, as well as supporting the Carolina Beach community!
Sunday, February 2nd
Goat Therapy at Flying Machine Brewing: Need some baby goat cuddles and bottle feeding to end your weekend? Get your tickets for a 1-hour slot starting at either 12pm or 2pm, with one drink included with your ticket!
Valentine’s Day Market at Waterline Brewing: If you’re looking for a special surprise for a special someone, shop local vendors from 12pm to 4pm for gift items and sweet treats! As a bonus, enjoy live music and food trucks!
February Vegan Potluck at South Front Premier Living: Bring a dish to share (anything 100% Vegan) and enjoy some social time with other like-minded friends! BYO Utensils, Bowl, Plate, and Cloth Napkin. This months theme is Lunar New Year! From 1pm to 3pm.

🦈 Shrimp and Grins Spring Campaign Announced for NC Aquarium: The Fort Fisher Aquarium’s two sand tiger sharks will be getting some extra love and attention during the NC aquarium Spring Campaign! Wilmington will be able to learn more about this endangered species and beloved members of our aquarium! Purchasing tickets online is required!
🎟️ Coastal Comic Con to be Hosted at the Wilmington Convention Center: Coastal Comic Con has announced its second annual event featuring guest celebrities, vintage video games, board and tabletop game demos, as well as various discussion panels. Tickets are already available for purchase for the event running March 1st-2nd!
🌊 Carolina Beach Purchases Boardwalk Properties: Carolina Beach Mayor Lynn Barbee is excited about the purchase of 9 boardwalk properties, as well as infrastructure projects to improve Carolina Beach. After an ongoing lawsuit involving various land owners along Carolina Beach, the town’s purchase of these properties will not only settle several disputes, but will allow for an improved beachfront layout, and includes the promise of more parking options and family-friendly activities.
🎳 New Rec Center Proposed for Oleander Drive: A new recreation center has been proposed for Oleander Drive, featuring exciting amenities like an arcade, bowling lanes, pickleball courts, and a restaurant. This multi-use facility aims to provide a fun and engaging space for Wilmington residents and visitors alike. Stay tuned for updates!
