Thursday, November 21st

  • Mannheim Steamroller Christmas: Experience the magic of Christmas with Mannheim Steamroller's iconic holiday music at the Wilson Center. Two show times at 3:00 and 7:30 PM. Get your tickets online before they’re sold out!

  • Open Mic Night at Dead Crow: Test your comedy chops or check out Wilmington’s newest talent. Doors open at 6 PM with free admission.

  • Cucalorus Film Festival: Immerse yourself in a world of independent cinema at the Cucalorus Film Festival. Check out the full 4 day schedule on their site!

  • CAM After Dark: Join the Cameron Art Museum for an evening of art and culture. Explore the art exhibits accompanied by an End of Days Distillery cocktail tasting

  • Thursday Night Trivia at Seven Mile Post: Beer and prizes for 21+ starting at 6:30pm. If you’re craving some Caribbean cuisine with a side of competition, this is the event for you!

Friday, November 22nd

  • Comedian Cipha Sounds at Dead Crow Comedy Club: Laugh your way into the weekend with Cipha Sounds at Dead Crow Comedy Club. Shows on November 22nd and 23rd. You’ll want to get your tickets ahead of time for this one!

  • Festival of Trees Opening Day: Kick off the holiday season at the NC Aquarium's Festival of Trees. Marvel at 54 beautifully decorated trees and support a great cause.

  • Algorhythm at Bowstring Wilmington: Dance the night away with Algorhythm at Bowstring Wilmington. A new project from Reggae legends of SOJA, Stick Figure and Three Legged Fox. Doors open at 5 PM and the event starts at 7 PM.

  • Cape Fear Book Festival, Cover to Cover Book Sale: Calling all book lovers! Don't miss the Cover to Cover Book Sale at the Cape Fear Book Festival, featuring local Wilmington authors. Find your next great read and support local literacy initiatives. Event from 5 PM to 8 PM.

  • History & Architecture Walking Tour of Wilmington: Discover the rich history and stunning architecture of Wilmington on this informative walking tour. Learn about the city's past while exploring its beautiful streets.

  • Dinner with Strangers: Wilmington: Step out of your comfort zone and make new connections in town at Dinner with Strangers. Enjoy a unique dining experience and potentially meet your new best friend. Dinner starts at 7 PM.

🎬 Dark Horse Stages Opens New Film Studios in Wilmington: Dark Horse Stages has unveiled new state-of-the-art soundstages in Wilmington, aiming to attract more film and television productions to North Carolina. The expansion includes a 20,000-square-foot stage and a 30,000-square-foot stage, enhancing the region's capacity to host major productions.

💼 Former TRU Colors Brewing Owner Sentenced in Tax Evasion Scheme: Former Wilmington businessman George Taylor Jr. has been sentenced to 40 months in federal prison for tax evasion. Taylor, who operated multiple businesses including TRU Colors Brewery, pleaded guilty to failing to pay over $2 million in employee payroll taxes and personal income taxes.

☁️ Smoke Testing Begins in Carolina Beach: Starting Thursday, Carolina Beach will conduct smoke testing of the sewer system to identify potential leaks or defects. Residents may see harmless smoke coming from manholes, storm drains, or building foundations, which helps pinpoint areas needing repair in the town's infrastructure.
