What’s Happenin’ in Wilmington 👀
Thursday, October 17th
Hurricane Relief Fundraiser at Poe’s Tavern: Poe’s Tavern will be donating 10% of net sales to Hurricane Helene Relief Funds as well as collecting supplies, canned goods, clothing, and toys. If you’re able to donate come by during open hours.
Ladies Night Sunset Boat Ride: Kick off a relaxing weekend with coastal views from 6pm to 8pm (BYOB and $50 per person).
Night of The Living Dead at Thalian Hall: Looking for a spooky weekend? Check out show times for this theatrical adaptation of the classic horror film online and book your seat before they sell out!
Full Moon Affair, a Moonlit Dinner: Stop by The Oceanic from 7pm to 10pm for special cocktails and bites, and stroll the Crystal Pier in the moonlight!
Beer Glasses and Boarding Passes Raffle: Looking for some free airline tickets? Make sure to be at Wilmington Brewing Company taproom at 5pm for a glass of beer, some bites from Chef Driven food truck, and a chance to win!
The Brothers Comatose at Bowstring Burgers and Brewyard: Looking for a lively start to the weekend? Would a mix of bluegrass, country, and rock’ n’ roll do the trick? From 7pm to 10pm with a $25 cover.
Friday, October 18th
Yoga on the Intracoastal: Bring your yoga mat or a towel to Dockside Restaurant for a class (drop in and beginner friendly) starting at 7:30pm. Drop in rate is $18.
Little Shop of Horrors at Thalian Hall: If a mix of Broadway, Hollywood, and Sci-Fi sounds like your perfect weekend pastime, be there at 7:30pm on the main stage (with other performances throughout the weekend)!
Encanto, The Sing Along Concert: Grab the kids and head over to the Wilson Center for an orchestra-accompanied screening of the film. Get your tickets online before they sell out, and make sure to arrive early for 20-30 minutes of pre-show material and behind the scenes!
Chill-i By the Dunes Fundraiser: Are you an art lover? Join the Carolina Beach Mural Project to celebrate their 20th mural and raise funds for the next! Starting at 4pm for $45 per person.
Willie Macc at The Dead Crow Comedy Room: Starting at 7pm for $20 per person. The perfect weekend activity: laughter!
Arts and Crafts Fair at Porter’s Neck Village: Browse handmade items from local artisans from 2pm to 6pm.

Greenfield Lake Monthly Nature Walks: Lover of nature, birds, and the changing seasons? Join this free, guided tour starting at 9am.

Boogie in the Park Concert Series: Port City Shakedown at Kure Beach Ocean Front Park from 5pm to 7pm. Bring a blanket or a beach chair and enjoy!
Autumn Goddess Cacao Ceremony and Craft: Hosted at Lavender Rain Emporium from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at $65 per person. Honor the goddesses through the ceremony and craft project!
Lainey Wilson, Country’s Cool Again Tour at Riverfront Park: Starting at 7pm with tickets starting at $136.

Grimm Burger - Serving Smash Burgers at Their First Brick and Mortar Location!
Your favorite food truck (making arguably the best burgers in Wilmington) The Grimm Burger, is now serving beers and burgers at their first ever brick and mortar location! If you haven’t had a chance to try the Carolina Reaper (spicy red relish, pickled jalapeño and spicy G sauce), or the Gravedigger (made from scratch pimento cheese and crispy bacon) now is a better time than ever!
Their brand new location is located off Military Cutoff Rd in The Forum (near Mayfaire). They are currently open from 11am to 9pm on weekdays, 11am to 10pm Friday and Saturday, 11am to 8pm on Sunday, and closed on Mondays.

🧟♂️ Phobia Haunted Trail: Looking to add some spooky to your weekend? The options are limitless! This seasonal trail is located at 2859 Marco Rd in Leland, and takes about 30 minutes to complete (i.e. survive your worst nightmares). They won’t touch, but they will terrify. Find more info online
🍟 New Foods at the NC Fair This Week: The NC Fair in Raleigh started today (and runs through the 27th), and 72 new foods have been spotted! Some of these include birthday cake cookie dough on a stick, deep fried cheesy brisket bites, loaded sweet potato fries, Alaskan King Crab Pop, and sweet cheese pie.
🐝 Aerial Mosquito Spray Unintentionally Kills Bees Across Brunswick County: The State of NC is currently investigating new solutions to mosquito problems in North Carolina (heightened after hurricane Helene), as the Aerial spray (used last Friday - Monday) killed thousands of bees.
