  • Ocean Fest Oysterpalooza and Music Festival: from 4pm to 10pm at Soundside Park in Surf City. Your ticket (starting at $25) includes a dozen oysters, music, and grillables. Grab your tickets and more info online!

  • Jazz Club with The Jim Ferris Trio: If you’re a fan of jazz, swing by Bourgie Nights for the show starting at 8pm (doors open at 7pm). Tickets start at $10.

  • Lucas Zelnick Comedy: Social media famous Lucas Zelnick is taking his talent for comedy to the Dead Crow Comedy room for shows at 7pm and 9:30pm. Grab your tickets online!

  • Nirvani A Nirvana Tribute Experience: A Tribute band with their main goal being to present as close a replica to the real thing. Their show at Bowstring Burgers and Brew Yard starts a 7pm with an $18 cover.

  • Shakers Revised at Thalian Hall: The Harrington Repretory presents “Shakers Revised,” a play following the Shakers from England to “The American Dream.” Show starts at 7:30pm with tickets available online now!

  • Comedy Night at Azalea Station: Show up at 8pm for drinks and laughs! $10 per person. 21+

Saturday, September 21st

  • Herbie Hancock Jazz Pianist: “Considered to be one of the most innovative jazz musicians of all time” Herbie Hancock graces the Wilson Center. Visit event page for show times and tickets.

  • Riverfront Farmer’s Market: Browse local artisans and goods from 8am to 1pm on Dock St between 2nd and Water Street. This is perfect opportunity for birthday or early Christmas Shopping!

  • Greenfield Lake Monthly Nature Walks: This is an amazing FREE opportunity for nature lovers! If you’re looking to expand your birdwatching make sure to pack your sunscreen and bug spray for guided tour from 9am to 10am.

  • Wilmington Railroad 45th Anniversary: from 11am to 2pm participate in FREE railway themed games, activities, music, and history. Grab your friends and family and head downtown!

  • Kids Lollipopalooza Festival: Hosted at Wrightsville Beach Brewery from 12pm to 3pm. Bring your kids for music, Cotton candy, fairy hair, and face painting! You don’t want to miss this FREE festival for the whole family!

  • Cape Fear Latinos Festival: from 12:30pm to 7pm at Riverfront Park, dance and eat the afternoon away! Bonus: bring your loved ones for family friendly activities!

WILMINGTON NEWS AND UPDATES

📣Trump Rally Scheduled for Wilmington: Former President Donald Trump is once again set to make a stop in Wilmington, his scheduled arrival being this Saturday (keep that in mind when predicting traffic). The rally will be held at the Wilmington International Airport in the Aero Center. The doors are expected to be open around 10am, with the event starting closer to 2pm. If you’re interested in going, you can claim up to two free tickets on their event webpage.

⚠️ Road Closures in the Greater Wilmington Area: An unnamed tropical disturbance recently brought some pretty heavy rainfall to the Wilmington area. Several roads were affected Monday and Monday night, and some still remained closed for repair. I-74 is currently under repair, but according to drivenc.gov the impact to traffic is low. If you’re looking to drive south of Wilmington, towards Fort Fisher, South Port, or Oak Island, be sure to check online and make sure you have the best route planned. Stay safe!
